LPA217 Bus, Tram and Car Under Linacre Road Station Bridge, 1920s

This photo catches a moment of transition between modes of transport – all there in the same picture: The motor-bus, the tram and the motor car. This was when Linacre Road station adjacent to and above the bridge was still operational – so its a fair bet you would have seen a steam train go by on that bridge before too long.

Then and Now for LPA217: Google Street View of same scene.
